As much as I love white linen and mid-century sofas, that just wasn’t gonna cut it. Since we have a three-year old and a cat, it also needed to be practical. I wanted to hold out until we found the perfect thing: big enough for the whole family to spread out on, but small enough to (not only fit through the doors in our house) but to look good in this small room. Needless to say, this was neither cute nor cozy - at all. And, when I walked into this room I felt quietly bummed out. programs from a leftover twin bed, masked with lots of pillows, trying (unsuccessfully) to pass it off as a daybed. Up until now, we’ve been watching our favorite T.V.

I also keep my clothing overflow in this room because the house (and especially the master bedroom) doesn’t have a ton of closet space. We decided to turn the extra bedroom into a family room / TV room so that the TV didn’t become the focal point of our (super tiny) living room. Our new house is awesome and I love it, but it came with its fair share of design conundrums - the biggest one being that even though its a three bedroom, all of the rooms are very small.
